Fein to start third apartment project in Springwoods Village
Martin Fein Interests, a Houston-based apartment development and management firm, purchased 17.4 acres on Spring Stuebner Road near Interstate 45 from CDC Houston and plans to develop a project called The Canopy at Springwoods Village.
Designed by Steinberg Dickey Collaborative, the two- and three-story garden style complex at 1800 Spring Stuebner Road will have 332 units with a mix of efficiency, one-, two- and three-bedroom plans. The units, including some townhomes, will range from 552 square feet to 1,705 square feet.
Fein also developed The Mark at Springwoods Village CityPlace, a six-story complex with 268 units at 1600 Springwoods Plaza Drive, and The Belvedere in Springwoods Village, a five-story project with 342 units at 2323 East Mossy Oaks Road.

The Canopy will have bike trail access to CityPlace, the urban center of Springwoods Village with shops, restaurants and entertainment options.
“The Canopy represents an alternative rental price point for the many corporate employees living in and around Springwoods Village,” Rebecca Luks, vice president of development at Martin Fein Interests, said in an announcement. “We now have an apartment option for everyone from CEOs to entry level employees.”
Amenities will include a club area with billiard and ping pong tables, flat screen TVs, a golf simulator room, a library, conference room, a fitness center, a separate yoga/training/spin studio and outdoor covered patio. A reflection garden with a public art sculpture and resort style pool with sun shelves and poolside cabanas will overlook lake surrounded by a walking/jogging trail.
Groundbreaking is planned in January with completion targeted in the fourth quarter of 2021.
